Lisa Avram-McLean
Lisa has been a teacher in Regina for more than 14 years. She has taught core French from kindergarten to grade 10, and now teaches grades 6 to 8. She has been a pilot teacher for Pearson Canada’s new core French program Ça marche! and has been a workshop presenter for more than 10 years. Her education background is in French and psychology.
 
Helen M. Coltrinari, M.A. M. Ed.
Helen M. Coltrinari Helen Coltrinari holds an MA in French (University of Toronto) and an M.Ed. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). Helen has worked at the North York Board of Education as a teacher, department head, and summer school principal. She has been a producer and the head of education, professional development and accreditation at TVOntario. She has written teachers guides and developed classroom-ready resources for both core French and immersion classrooms, including components of Ça marche! She is also an effective and popular seminar leader and teaches education courses at the graduate level at Brock University. Recently, Helen completed a major research report on French Second Language Proficiency Testing in Canada for the Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers (CASLT). She is a past president of CASLT.
 
Polly Dobie
Polly Dobie Polly Dobie has been a core French and Creative Writing teacher for 12+ years and was a member of the provincial team involved in writing the BC IRP in 2000. She co-authored the Ça marche! unit called Venez chez nous, as well as Ça commence! She has also reviewed many of the other Ça marche! units.
 
Diane Masschaele
Diane Masschaele Diane has 20 years of experience teaching core French to grades 7 and 8 students in Ontario. She is an author of several resources including On y va! and Ça commence! and a former National FSL Consultant with Pearson Education. Diane has begun a permanent position as Product Manager for Pearson Education Canada's Modern Languages Department, beginning in September, 2005.
 
Lisa Powell
Lisa Powell Lisa has been a teacher in Regina for more than 15 years. She teaches core French from grade 1 to 8, and she has been a reviewer on the new Pearson program Ça marche! Her training includes a Masters in Educational Administration and a diploma in Educational Psychology.
