  From Research to Classroom Practice

Pearson Mathematics Makes Sense is based on research on how students learn.

The Pearson Development Team examined published academic research to explore current issues in classroom practice

Our research was shared with educators across Canada through focus groups, one-on-one interviews and symposia

In 2006, Pearson Education Canada published Reflections on Research in School Mathematics by Florence Glanfield. The report summarizes key research findings of best practice, suggests implications for the classroom and for professional development, and helps educators with the task of defining and shaping implementation plans.
