Assessment FOR Learning
- Each unit and chapter starts with an informal oral diagnostic opportunity to activate prior knowledge, uncover misconceptions, and ensure that teaching is focused. Re-teaching strategies for content covered in previous grades is included in the Teacher Resource.
- Learning Checkpoints are strategically placed throughout development of new content to ensure comprehension.
- Check and Reflect appears after new concepts are introduced, to ensure understanding, before new skills and concepts are introduced.
