Engineering perfection! Design challenges Houston! We have a problem!

The world’s largest airliner, the Airbus A-380, had its first commercial flight in October 2007. The Superjumbo was manufactured by a systems-of-systems process in which individual components were produced in different countries and then transported to a central location for final assembly of the giant aircraft. See Mars and Jay model the systems-of-systems approach to construction, in the design and assembly of a classroom delivery system! Review several possible design challenges that you and your class could use to develop skills of technological problem-solving, communication, and co-operation.

Show the first six minutes of the video (or the full 17 minutes) in your classroom to stimulate discussion of complex design challenges!
