Welcome to LanguageWorks 10! This workbook will increase your understanding of the English language and will help develop your writing skills. It is made up of the following six units:

• Putting It Together!
• Review and Reference

Units 2 to 5 begin with a Focus On page. This is similar to a pretest on the contents of the lessons that follow. At the end of each unit, there are Check Up pages that evaluate how much you have learned. Extra help is given in the Review pages in Unit 6. Unit 1 will help you prepare for the Reading and Writing Tests in Grade 10.
