What is MyBusinessLab?

MyBusinessLab is an online grading, assessment, and study tool for faculty and students. MyBusinessLab engages students and helps them focus on what they need to study. MyBusinessLab can help students get a better grade because students learn in an interactive and focused environment.

MyBusinessLab delivers all classroom resources for instructors and students in one place. All resources are organized by learning objective so that lectures and studying can be customized more conveniently than ever before.

Resources include

  • Diagnostic Tests for student review. This quizzing can be monitored by professors. Results reveal which learning objectives students are struggling with so professors can customize their review and assessment.
  • Personalized Study Plan based on each student’s results in the diagnostic test offers students remediation by learning objective to help them focus on the concepts they find most challenging.
  • Case-based adaptive questions—scenario-based questioning to give students a chance to apply what they have learned and practise their critical thinking skills.
  • Link to the eText.
  • Ability to mark homework, quizzes, and tests automatically and have them automatically populate in your grade book.
  • Glossary Flashcards for quick and fun study of business terms and concepts.
  • Audio Glossary to help students with pronunciation of terms.
  • Five additional Comprehensive Cases (each case is approximately 8 to 10 pages).
  • Business News Cases—Business concepts come to life for your students. Online Canadian news articles are linked to three mini cases with questions for your students to answer. These will be updated twice a year to ensure relevance and currency. The Business News Cases will be linked to specific chapters within the textbook. Solutions will also be made available to faculty.
  • Pearson Practice Tests (one midterm and one final exam)—These practice tests help students test their knowledge and measure their own readiness to perform well on tests. The author looked at midterms and final exams from several post-secondary institutions across Canada in order to ensure that the level and types of questions in the practice tests are similar to what students will face in the real exam.
