  • Ken Dahlen owns and manages a successful custom construction firm that builds and renovates homes. Although he often manages several projects at once, he uses email, phone calls, and personal visits to maintain contact with clients. Ken talks about clear communication in managing projects.
  • Brian Guy is a senior partner in Summit Environmental Consultants. Periodically, his firm invests in communications training for all members of the Summit team. In this video segment, he explains his reasons for that communications training. He also discusses the attributes his firm seeks in prospective employees.
  • Marta Green is an environmental consultant specializing in geo-science issues. For each project, she must prepare a detailed report that meets the client’s needs. She discusses the range of media and formats that are part of her communications responsibilities.

  • Marc Arellano teaches communications at Okanagan College. Previously he has been a product consultant for the Mountain Equipment Co-op and a public relations professional for Norco Performance Bikes. Marc is an active blogger and podcaster, and he outlines the business potential for the "new media."
  • Garth Homer is a reference librarian who describes himself as an "information miner." Garth’s extensive library experience, his library website development work, and his research consulting business eminently qualify him to talk about the modern library’s emphasis on electronic searches.
