We have carefully prepared the following resources to aid
instructors in presenting lectures, fostering class discussion, and
administering examinations:
- Instructor's Resource Manual - The Instructor’s Resource Manual is designed to enhance the organization and
presentation of course materials. It includes model answers for all of
the questions that appear in the Discussion Boxes, Review Questions,
and Cases & Problems. Where appropriate, the answers also explain
the pedagogic purpose of their associated questions. The Manual also provides case
briefs for every judicial decision that is mentioned in the text or its
footnotes. In addition, the Manual includes teaching tips and
suggestions that instructors might find useful in tailoring the materials
in the textbook for their students.

- Instructor's Resource Disk - To complement the Manual, a special Instructor's Resource Disk is available. It contains:
- An electronic version of the Instructor's Resource Manual.
- Acrobat versions of all the Figures and Concept Summary boxes in the textbook.
- PowerPoint slides for each chapter that can be used in electronic form to present materials in class or in printed form to guide the preparation of new lecture notes.

- Test Item File - The Test Item File provides over 1500 questions that can be used for tests and examinations For each chapter, the file contains: (i) 30 multiple choice questions, (ii) 15 true and false questions, and (iii) 15 short essay questions. Each question is accompanied by a model answer, cross-referenced to the relevant section of the text, ranked according to its level of difficulty, and identified by type as either recall or applied.

- Pearson TestGen - The Pearson TestGen is a special computerized version of the Test Item File that enables instructors to view and edit the existing questions, add questions, generate tests, and print the tests in a variety of formats. Powerful search and sort functions make it easy to locate questions and arrange them in any order desired. TestGen also enables instructors to administer tests on a local area network, have the tests graded electronically, and have the results prepared in electronic or printed reports. Issued on a CD-ROM, the Pearson TestGen is compatible with IBM or Macintosh systems.
- CBC/Pearson Education Canada Video Library for Business Law - The CBC and Pearson Education Canada have combined their expertise in educational publishing and global reporting to create a special video ancillary to the text. The library consists of 5 video segments from the CBC programs Venture and MarketPlace. Each segment has been chosen to supplement a Canadian Case Study in the book.
In addition we have created the following resource for students and instructors:
Companion Web Site (www.pearsoned.ca/mcinnes) *available January 2003
- The Study Resources section of the Companion Web Site includes 25 Self-Test Questions for each chapter. (The questions do not duplicate any of those in the Test Item File.) Students can try the questions, send the answers to the electronic grader, and receive instant feedback.
- The Study Resources section also includes one Internet Exercise per chapter that requires students to use their computer-research skills to analyze and resolve a business law problem.
- The Instructor Resource section of the Companion Web Site includes electronic versions of some of the supplements.
