About the Author
Leslie Beck, RD, is one of Canada's leading nutritionists and operates a successful private practice at two locations in Toronto. In the past ten years Leslie has helped over 1,500 individuals achieve their nutrition and fitness goals. She hosts the Discovery Channel's "Foodstuff," a daily nutrition program aired nationally, has a weekly nutrition segment on ONTV's "News at Noon" and she appears regularly on "Canada AM." In addition to her consulting practice, Leslie Beck is a member of Dietitians of Canada, The College of Dietitians of Ontario, and is president of Consulting Dietitians of Ontario. Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Leslie now lives in Toronto, Ontario, where she recently wrote Managing Menopause with Diet, Vitamins and Herbs.

Joy Bauer, MS, RD, holds a BSc in kinesiological sciences and a Master's degree in nutrition from New York University. A registered dietitian, she is presently in private practice, serves as a nutrition consultant to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and is a renowned lecturer. She lives in New York City.
