  3. I have viewed the Companion e-Atlas demo, and now I want to know what will be on the full version of the Companion e-Atlas.
    The full version of the Companion e-Atlas will contain detailed information about a number of geographic regions. For each featured area, there will be:
    • Fast Facts - interesting and educational information and links, for:
      • Background
      • Physical Features
      • Economy
      • Population
      • Tourism
      • Environment
    • Study Guide - interactive quizzes, self-testing, and assignments for students, such as:
      • Test Your Knowledge
      • Practice your Atlas Skills
      • Research to Discover
      • Activities with Line Masters to download
      • A total of 60 questions per featured area!
    • Teacher Resources - a password protected area just for teachers!


  4. How do I gain access to the full version of the Companion e-Atlas?
    To obtain access to the full version of the Companion e-Atlas, please contact your sales representative or contact Customer Service at 1-800-361-6128. Once you have done this, you will receive a unique Access Code Card in the mail. Follow the instructions on the card to register yourself and your students for access to the Companion e-Atlas.


  5. How much does the full version of the Companion e-Atlas cost?
    The cost of the Companion e-Atlas will vary depending on arrangements made with your Pearson Canada Sales Representative. To order, please contact your sales representative or contact Customer Service at 1-800-361-6128.


COMPANION E-ATLAS FULL VERSION HELP - ANSWERS

  1. I have purchased the full version of the Companion e-Atlas, and have received my Access Code Card in the mail. What do I do now?
    Visit www.pearsoned.ca/school/atlas. Find the Companion e-Atlas link and follow the instructions on the Access Code Card to register yourself and your students for access to the Companion e-Atlas.


  2. Why is there a separate teacher user name and password, and student user name and password? Can I give my students the teacher user name and password?
    It is very important that you do not give your students the teacher user name and password. The teacher user name and password will allow access to teacher resources. Please protect your password to maintain correct levels of student access.


  3. I don't want to register a user name and password for my students at this time. Can I go back and do this later?
    Unfortunately, you cannot return and do this at a later date. It is therefore recommended that you create a student user name and password at this point, even if you do not plan on using it immediately.


  4. Do I have to register a user name and password for each student in my class?
    No. There is only one student user name and password, which you can share with your entire class for access to the Companion e-Atlas in class, and at home for assignments.


  5. I have tried to register my user name and password, but I get an error message saying that user name has already been taken. What can I do now?
    User names are unique names that cannot be duplicated. Therefore, common choices such as "student" or "school" will be taken early. It is recommended that you choose something unique yet memorable, write it down and keep it in a safe place.


  6. I have tried to register my user name and password, but I get an error message saying that the Access Code you entered has already been redeemed. What can I do now?
    The Access Code Cards are only valid for a single redemption. Therefore, you cannot register more than once using the same card. If you wish to register more than one teacher per school for access, you may either order another card, or share your teacher user name and password within the school.


  7. I have tried to register my user name and password, but I get an error message saying that I have entered an invalid code. What can I do now?
    Access Codes must be entered in precisely. Please check that the spelling is correct and that you have paid attention to the upper/lower cases. If the problem persists, please contact webhelp@pearsoned.com.


  8. If I have obtained access to the full version of the Companion e-Atlas, when will that access expire?
    Your access to the Companion e-Atlas will not expire. Should you receive a message stating that your access has expired, please contact webhelp@pearsoned.com to obtain a free replacement code.


  9. I have entered in the correct user name and password and I have been denied access. What can I do now?
    Please check that you have entered the correct spelling of both your user name and password, and have paid attention to upper/lower case. If this problem persists, please contact webhelpd.com?subject=e-Atlas FAQs and Help">webhelp@pearsoned.com.


  10. Can I share the user name and password with other teachers in my school? In other schools?
    You are welcome to share your user name and password with other teachers in your school. However, you are not permitted to share your user name and password with teachers from other schools. The Access Code Card is only valid for the purchasing school.


  11. I have given my students my teacher user name and password. Is this ok? What do I do now?
    Contact webhelp@pearsoned.com immediately. We will cancel your current user name and password and provide you with a free replacement card.


  12. I have replaced a teacher that was using the full version of the Companion e-Atlas. They had a user name and password that has been misplaced. How do I regain access to the full version of the Companion e-Atlas?
