Chapter 5 Patterns of Organization-Internet Exercise

Locate and record the addresses of any 10 Web sites. Visit as many different types of Web sites as possible. Please complete the following questions:

1. Classify the Web sites into different groups (each group must have two or more items). To help you perform this exercise, refer to the classification guidelines in Chapter 5.
2. Choose one group of items from Question 1. Compare and contrast the items by showing their similarities and differences. To help you perform this exercise, refer to the comparison / contrast guidelines in Chapter 5.
3. Write an expanded definition of an effective Web site. Please use as a model one of the Web sites you visited.
4. Provide a technical description of one of the Web sites you visited. Describe and explain the function of each part of the page. To help you perform this exercise, refer to the description guidelines in Chapter 5.
