Chapter 5 Graphics-Internet Exercise

Investigate three different types of Web sites from the following list: personal, corporate, academic, business, research and development, and professional society. Please complete the following questions:

  1. Analyse the use of visuals in the Web sites you visited. How well or poorly do the authors incorporate graphics in their Web pages? Do the graphics follow the guidelines discussed in Chapter 12?
  2. Research Web sites for documents that have either poorly designed graphics, or no graphics at all. Examples of these documents may include professional journal articles, technical reports, annual reports, newsletters, on-line admissions or placement brochures, and on-line newspapers. Revise (or create if necessary) the visuals using the guidelines discussed in Chapter 12.
