"Canadian Connections to Research in this Chapter" highlights all of the Canadian researchers or research institutions discussed in the chapter. The websites of the institutions involved are included so you can search for more information. In some cases the original researchers may not still be located at the university listed, but the department will probably be involved in similar research. Also listed in this section are the recent honours awarded to the authors of these works.

The "Further Readings" section includes articles and research chosen by the authors for further study. The authors have chosen these readings specifically for their quality, relevance, and level of interest.
